Hello, my name is Mrs. Jones. I am very excited to meet all of you this year.
Let me start by telling you about me. I am married to a wonderful man, Paul. We have a 30 year old son, Chris. Chris is married to Deanna and they have my only granddaughter, Emily. I have one brother, Michael, and two nieces, Rachael and Rebecca.
Paul and I have 4 dogs: King, Toby, Scrappy, and Donkey. Yes, Donkey is a dog.
I was born in Spartanburg County and graduated from James F. Byrnes High School. I married straight out of high school and did not attend college until my son graduated in 2004. I attended Spartanburg Community College before transferring to USC-Upstate. In 2012, I graduated from USC-Upstate with a B.S. in Special Education and Elementary Education.
I have worked for Spartanburg School District 6 for 4 years and Spartanburg School District 5 for 2 years as a Substitute. In November 2013, I went to work at Anderson 5 Charter School as a Special Education Teacher and At-Risk Mentor. In addition to my education and work experience, my son was in special education classes. I understand the importance of education and preparing students for real-world jobs and lives after school.
I have been the Children's Service Coordinator since 2014-2015 school year, in addition to teaching Special Education and Gifted and Talented students. Please let me know if your believe your student needs additional services.
